For the love of the animals
PAWSitively S.A.F.E. was founded in 2016, by Julie Rasmussen and Holly Cuciz; both cat rescue volunteers who practice TNR of community cats, as well as running a foster program for homeless cats and kittens, getting them ready for permanent placement with their rescue partners and in forever homes. They were concerned by the high number of homeless cats and kittens, and about reducing the number of healthy cats ending up in local shelters. They formed PAWSitively S.A.F.E. in order to achieve more positive outcomes for animals on the streets and in shelters.
We would like to thank our partners, friends and fosters who help make our rescue work possible including; Tony LaRussa’s Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF); Homeless Animals Lifeline Organization (H.A.L.O.); our amazing foster families; our web designer Alexa Herasimchuk and all our donors!
We also want to acknowledge the following animal rescues, municipal shelters and veterinary clinics that work with us: Sonoma Humane Society, Contra Costa Animal Services (CCAS), Antioch Animal Services (AAS), and TailWag Inn Vet Hospital, Oakley. There are many other vet offices that have worked with us over the years, and we appreciate you all!
